MOTIVATE, INSPIRE, RESPECT
A COMMUNITY SPORTS CLUB FOR OVER 100 YEARS
Dating back to 1904, Old Rivingtonians Sports and Social Club has enjoyed many successful teams across a variety of sports over the last 100 years.
We are a Two Star England Football Accredited club offering the opportunity for everyone in our local community to play sports. With over 300 members (and counting) our football teams range from U6s all the way through to open age for boys, girls, men and women. The club has over 20 years’ experience of providing a safe, rewarding and motivating environment for people of all ages to enjoy.
We have strong local links with Rivington & Blackrod High School, St Joseph’s High School, and Horwich RMI Sports and Social Club, as well as a training and playing facility at Green Lane in Horwich.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
We believe this is more than sport. It's about developing life experience and social skills.
We want to welcome more people into the game, because sports should be for all.
We want to inspire the next generation of coaches, referees, players, and leaders.
We want to continually improve and develop as a club, as coaches, and as players.
We encourage respect for our coaches, for our team mates, and for our officials.
We engage with our local communities, and build strong links with local associations.
VOLUNTEERS
Without volunteers, there’s no Old Rivs! We’re always on the lookout for people to get involved – whether it’s coaching, officiating, team administration, or helping out at training and matchdays. Come and join our community, and make a difference!
OUR TEAMS
